Just getting ready to recase an HT1250LS and want to know where to start so that I don't damage the radio/LCD.

If you have not done this before be very carefull of the flex cables and conectors, to start pull off the knobs and remove the antenna, use a small flat tip screwdriver at the bottom inside with the battery removed, pry down there are two tabs that hold the case to the chassis it is best to have a service manual

can't reiterate the importance of the connectors and being careful with them. The little tabs on the locking clips LOVE to snap off, making it impossible to relock the flex to the PCB like it was supposed to.
And, FYI, i've always had better luck with a 1in putty knife for prying back the bottom of the case, from the backplate to disengage the tab...the broader surface reduces the "hack job disassembly" scars you get from using anythign smaller, and it pulls the ENTIRE tab back easier.
