EX600 "Ribless" In-line-RIB cable

Post by sscheinfe »

I have seen on ebay a programming cable for the EX600, which is called a "rib-less" cable, but obviously has a miniature RIB installed in-line with a DB-9 connector. It looks A LOT smaller than the standard RIB box. Anyone have any idea of it's schematics, how to build it? Thanks.

ex600 ribless cables

I have 3 different cables that are ribless, I would assume that they are mostly the same. However, that being said, my wife works at a plant that makes electronic circuit boards and from what we have figured out on 1 cable for sure is that there is some type of programmable chip inside. I don't wanna tear the others apart to see, but I am fairly sure they work in the same mannor. This type of circuit board takes extremely expensive equipment to program it and also place it and solder it. There is a cable that is "Ribless" for the EX600 on E-bay for around 33 dollars-shipped. Kawamall has given me 2 working cables. The 3rd i bought from another place and it is junk. Good luck
