Radius M120 16 pin output for link/repeater use?

Post by FMROB »

Hi all,
Have a whole bunch of 2 channel m120 radius mobiles with 16 pin boards. There is no external pin configuration screen.

So what pin would I use for cor/cos type output. Is it high or low??

Thanks, Rob

If you look at a GM radio its the same. I think it may be 14 or 11. It goes low on COR. I use these radios for all my repeaters. They work really good for that.

Do you mean you can't access the accessory options screen in the RSS? Just hit F9 on the radio wide options screen. From the main menu, its F4 change, F2 radio wide, then hit F9 for other accessory.

The M120 doesn't have the 'F9-more accessory options' in the radio wide screen that the GM300 does. The pins are not programmable. I believe it's PIN 8 which is defaulted as COR for the M120. It should go active low.

Oops, wasn't paying attention, just noticed he said it was a 16 pin radio.

For 5pin radios you need to bring out the COS/COR signal with an internal modification.

Go here and a have a look through the repeater interfacing article, it shows the modification needed. You can also make a quick and dirty repeater by connecting the mic jacks together after the mod is done, but that means no controller and no id'er to keep it legal. However i have linked them together this way and put a CWID module in the transmitter radio.
