xts3000 ALERT TONE

I have an XTS3000 model II is it possable to send an alert tone threw the radio? if so how do I do that. Also does this radio read ID"s can't find it in the RSS.

The only real "alert tone" that I can think of would be the Evacuation Tone. To activate this, you have to enable it in the RSS/CPS. On the radio, to transmit it, push in the PTT button, then hold in the Orange emergency button.

I know this works on conventional, but I have no idea about Trunking.

Yea I have the evacuation tone in the radio, would really like a good solid tone. thanks anyway

Well, if you're looking for a solid tone, you could always program a side button to be Singletone. I've used this in the past to use as a "call button", so the other person(s) can keep their radio on and they hear a beep come across when I'm trying to call them. This is, of course, assuming you are using Conventional. I don't believe singletone works on trunking, but I could be wrong.
