can a Specrta A5 be connected to a intercom?

Post by speeder »

I have a Spectra A5 and I want to connect it to a Flightcom intercom so I can wear headphones (+85 decibel vehicle). Is this possible? Will the radio output short to ground in the intercomm? Can I splice into the mic cord for the mic and a remote PTT button? Do I need to put in signal isolators?
Thanks for any help

Audio panel.

Hello.

Set your audio panel up to accept a standard aircraft radio.
The preamped mic the Motorola uses acts just like a carbon elememt, so no trouble there.
The audio output is tied to the audio panels speaker input, with or without the speaker.
The audio panel will provide the isolation needed, and used ones are not too expensive, if you shop around.
