GM 900 front panel (no control)

Post by wokka »

Having taken the two GM 900 radios out of the repeater unit GR 900 I am now going through the process of programming each radio. However both front panel button's on each unit do not work, have i missed something in the RSS that i need to do.
It would seem that they have had the front panel disenabled when being used as a repeater.

Not real familiar with the GM900 radio but= In a GR300 repeater GM300 mobiles are used and in that case in the RSS the GM300 mobiles are programmed as repeater mode and not conventional mode by RSS selection.

Is by chance your GM900 mobiles programmed and reading as repeater mode on the screen ?

If so try selecting that repeater option and select conventional mode instead and see if your good to go.

Look for the Jumper in the accessory connector plug.It must be on pin9 and pin 10.

Thanks for the help reference this problem, as mentioned above, there needed to be a link between pins 9+10, also 1+2 to enable the internal speaker.
It would seem that there needs to be a 25way plug connected to the aux connector on the radio with the relavant links made.
If anyone has the full list of pinout links for this radio I would appreciate it.
Many thanks Batlabs forum.
