R100 and TS-64 - Decode problem/low input

Post by Wireseverywhere »

I'm having difficulty getting reliable decode with the TS-64 connected to flat audio at J4-5 on the R100's receiver control board. The level here seems to be too low. The schematic I have is incomplete. Can somebody advise where to adjust the receive level or if there is another point more suitable for this purpose.

BTW, J4-5 is also the point where I'm picking off receive audio for an ICS Linker II controller. I have the RX audio jumper on the Linker II set to 2X gain and the quality is good.

Thanks for any help.

There is a circuit on the command board that conditions the receiver audio for the radio's own microprocessor to decode the PL. Try at JU802 first - if that's too low - then try U801 pin 3, U801 pin 12 or Q801 collector [same as microprocessor U701 pin 8]
