SAM question..HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

Post by FMROB »

Okay, Here is the scope. We have the quant running the SAM board in mixed mode operation. It works great as an PTT MDC ID and/or Repeater Access gateway into the box. No code or correct ID, no TX of the box.

In the SAM module there are 16 modes that can consist of 11 OPCODES or MDC PTT ID'S or Repeater ACC codes, or combo's of both. You can also enable either DTMF, SINGLETONE, or custom signalling variations in each mode.

SO. We have mode 00 set up with 10 PTT MDC ID's and 1 Repeater Access code... We need to add additional MDC PTT Id's.

So. We do what is logically next, Create mode 01, and 02, and 03 and add 11 PTT ID's more per mode.

PROBLEM... I doesn't work. It will only decode the first 11 codes, and ignores the additional (possible up to ) 16 other modes..

How can we do this. I find it very hard to believe that you can only have a working table of 11 ID's... What is are the additional modes for, and how do you add them into the mix.

We called MOTO and opened a case, after 2 weeks we got a response of just plain NO after the phone tech within the smart net group spoke with the expert "jim"..

Please help, we are stuck. We kinda need this to work. If any one knows some one who is fluent with the SAM, or knows someone in MOTO who knows this stuff, and can explain it further than "NO" this would help.

Thanks a million, Rob

Hello Rob,

Have you considered contacting Doug at http://www.dougtech.com/. Doug is very familiar with the SAM programming and he should be able to tell you if your configuration is possible. I believe Doug will charge "X" amount of $$$$$$$ for his consulting time.
