Motorola Dispatcher Desktop Control Console stuck on transmi
I have a Motorola Dispatcher console that stuck on channel 1 (also selected channel) transmitt. The red transmitt led was on and the repeater stayed keyed. I unplugged the cables on the rear of the desktop and disassembled it. I swapped the channel 1 and channel 2 channel control modules and connected the cables. Channel 1 was still transmitting. I unplugged AC from CEB for a couple of minutes and plugged in again. The console returned to normal. This console has stuck on transmitt several times over several years, but always cleared its self before I got there. What is likely to be causing this? Console also likes to display OOPS on display. Clock does not keep good time.

Hello Arlo,
I think you've actually answered your own question on this intermittent failure by stating, "I unplugged AC from CEB for a couple of minutes and plugged in again. The console returned to normal." To my way of looking at the problem, it lies in the CEBs Power Supply especially since the Clock does not keep accurate time. You may want to look at the required DC voltages as they maybe low or not enough current is being supplied to the internal circuitry. Some thing else to consider is, "Has this CEB Power Supply taken any Lightning or Power Surges throughout the years?

Problem intermittent? Can't offer solution but suggestion if you like...
Need to find source of PTT of operator position locked on TX
- Remove foot switch from console
- Verify Mouse buttons not stuck or broken
- Remove Device Driver....mouse, or trackball. Verify the trackball driver matches the operating system.
- Replace CRT Main Board.
