Here is my problem.
I have a nearly new Whelen Edge 9M lightbar, its going on a 1989 Chevy K5 Blazer. I have the appropriate brackets, and the like. The trouble comes from this.
This was a former Conservation Department fire vehicle, now in fire service for a volunteer department with little money. I am doing the work free and the bar was donated, however, this vehicle has a 24 volt electrical system, the bar is 12.
Suggestions on how to overcome this would be appreciated.
Inexpensive and effective means to do this are appreciated more.
Thanks.

You can only buy so many bags of lime before people begin asking questions...
Is it an actual K5 Blazer or a M1009? If it started life as a Federal or Military vehicle, and it's diesel, it's likely a M1009. If so, it can be converted to 12v without a whole lot of effort. Take a look at this document:

If it is in fact a civilian version, that document may be of absolutely no use to you. It may give your mind something to chew on though.
