H2 Hummer

Anybody ever do any lights or radios in a H2? Seems awfully tough at first look.

Ideas or pix would be appreciated.

Do a search for some images on the web. I have seen the U.S. Border Patrol with some H2's outfitted.

I did an H2 for a radio a few years back. I'll have to dig out the pics, but the customer requested the radio (Moto M1225) mounted flush against the driver's side of center console. It actually looked pretty good when done. Again, I will dig out some pics by the weekend.

Lights?

Post by dbusse »

How about strobes. I looked at the location and size of the factory lights, and it seems as though it would be tough to get strobe tubes in them.

Looks like it wasn't engineered for this sort of thing...

I look forward to seeing the pix with the M1225.

Thanks Sam for the nice picts. They have never seen a dirt trail yet.
Just let the agents here have it for a day and the thing will need a vacation. O and 4 flat tires.

The H1s all have a bad case of tire plugs in the side walls.

Again thanks

H2 install questions

Post by JustaBuff »

New to the site and just noticed your post from a few months back on the H2 - I have an install comming in for an H2 for a Medical Director POV and wanted to know if you completed yours and how it worked out- Plan right now is 2 Remote Mount CDMs on a stalk with the lights and siren activation though the option buttons on the radio, 2 slimlighters rear window and 1 dead center front above the rear view mirror. 4 TIR3s mounted vertical in the grill with a SA314 Spkr center behind the grill. When I looked the truck over it seemed like there might be room in the tail lights for some strobes, I was thinking to use a low wattage powerl supply to make sure it didnt melt the lens. No light bar on this. Any suggestions ? Dos or Donts ? Did you have any problems with strobes in the tail lights ? Did you find a good location to come through the firewall ?
Thanks for any and all help
