SM50 out of band

I have seen SM50's on the ham band. Is is possible to change one from uhf t-band (470 -512) to 450-470. I just got one and would like to operate it on 461/466 on a local low power repeater. It doesn't have to have great performance as it will be within 5 miles of the repeater site.

If its anything like it was for my SM120 your radio will not like it.

I had someone fix an MDF file to make my SM120 (16ch version of SM50) work with 444MHz ham frequencies and the audio sounded horrible and the radio got hot REAL quick.

Just my 2 cents.

Just curious if anyone has the sm50.mdf modified? I've been fighting pc problems with hex editor trying to get the checksum... Got the bandsplits covered. Just need uhf down to 444 area for ham. The upper is find at 470.
