[Need information about repeaters]

i'm a student studying in electronic engineering field....
now i'm doing my trainning in an communication company..
and i need help in understanding the repeater..
i think i know a little about the repeater but...
i need some one help to understand on the MTR2000,VIKING and the SMARTNET...
i really hope that some one can help me...
