Any of you "Bat" folks have any info on the conversion of a DPL optioned R100 to CTCSS PL? Have no book on the beast at this time.

if i recall, the R100 is a programable unit, so in the tradition of the programmed products, you should be able to go into the program to change PL or DPL

Your correct, programing is changable. Thats the easy part. There has to be a hardware change too. Even the software says there is a hardware change needed when the program is changed from DPL to CTCSS. I have optioned several of these r100's, but never had to convert one to CTCSS from DPL.

You have to change the micro to 51-06890J019 (WHITE LABEL).
RX command board C551 to 33uF C562 to 100 uF C811 to 1uF

TX command board C607 to 100uF

You MUST specify the WHITE LABEL ( if it is still available)

Hi:

Sorry to report but the R100 series are a
FIXED PL or DPL from the factory and can
not be changed easily.

If one does make the attempt, yopu must try
and obtain the IC's which are almost impossible to find, along with about a dozen
fixed componets in both the receive and transmitt section.

I would strongly recommend trying to obtain
a After market tone Panel such as a Zetron or
Com Spec.

I have a Extra Book ( about 2" thick ) if you are interested
