Minitor V Falsing

Post by arlojanis »

I set up 3 new Minitor V's for AB, Long B, and Long C. Set them in amplified chargers with external antennas on 12 1/2 narrow VHF frequencies. The pagers false decode every few minutes. There is no squelch opening after decode. The false seems to be long B. Anyone else have this type problem?

1st false

I had my first false with it last night. Out of the charger just on my belt. I've got three tone sets in it. No idea why it went off. I turned it to monitor but there wasn't even any traffic on the frequency.

A lot of pagers are prone to falsing if there is any nearby RF, like from a two-way radio or cell phone, I've seen it happen many times.....

Known issue. Motorola has a fix for it. It involes adjusting a window time (special software).
Call Motorola. Don't let them tell you that no one else is complaining.
