Minitor 4 Issues

Okay, I just found out that intrinsically safe does not equate water proof (burst hose line). So after drying the pager out, it's squelching open. Is there anyone with a service manual out there, a parts list, and most importantly a place where I can order parts. We also have several Minitor 4's with broken clips or buttons, can they be ordered anywhere? We're not worried about intrinsic safety because pagers are not carried into IDLH atmospheres so I refuse to send the pagers to a service center and pay $100 for a new back to the pager case.

The ONLY place with parts for a Min IV is Motorola. Anyplace else uses salvaged parts.

Are they orderable or do you have to be a MOTO service tech?

If they were orderable, Motorola wouldn't be the only place they get fixed with new parts. Even Motorola Service Shops can't get them.

so, basically, I'm screwed and I need to pony up and pay for it to get fixed and be prepared for a big $$.

Flat rate repair is around $80.00 if you send it to Motorola Depot for repair.
