Hey all,
I would like to know.. Can i "design" a codeplug without having the actual radio?I have the CPS(CDM1550/HT1550) that will work with the radio.I thought i could get a jump on poking in the frequencies then save the codeplug so when i get the radio all i have to do is read the radio then shoot the pre-saved info in to the HT. I already have 2 codeplugs saved but they are for 2 other units....
thanks

The 2 units that you already have codeplugs saved for, are they the same model as the unit you want to design the codeplug for? If so, all you have to do is read one of them, put in the frequencies you want, and then save it under a different name. The serial number of the codeplug won't match the radio you want to program, but it won't matter for the CDM radios, it'll write to the radio just fine. You can always read the radio after you're finished & save it with the proper serial number afterwards.

Hello,
No. the radios are different.... the codeplugs that i have saved are for the cdm's. what i wanted to do was make codeplug using the same cps then when i get the OTHER radio which are ht1550's(portables)then load the info in then.
