On/Off Duty Programming adn Push to Listen questions
I'm trying to program an on duty/off duty but not sure what I'm doing. I've entered 4 sets fo tones. Call 1/2/3 are all set to Duty = On and Call 4 is set to Duty = Off. In the function swtiches tab sw-a is set to selective call f1 / alert type is tone / enable on/off duty is NOT checked. Tab sw-b is set to Selective call f1 / alert type is vibrator / enable on/off duty IS checked.
The result I expected was that call sets 1/2/3 would all activate on sw-a but that call 4 would not and that all four sets would activate on sw-b. Is my expectation correct and just not working or is there something else I need to do?
Also, does anyone know what hte JPush to Listen option is and how to use it? One of our members would like to be able to put the pager on vibe and have no audio come out at all but for the pager to still trip and record. Not sure if it's possible with this or if its something completely different.
Thanks in advance.

Flip your expectation around. Checking enable on/off duty makes that the off-duty mode. So the way you configured it, B would be the off-duty mode.
Push-To-Listen means the pager will alert but you get no audio. If you want to hear the audio, you have to push the button, hence PUSH TO LISTEN.

doesn't seem to be working like that.
here is what I have...
Call 1 - 2463.0 / 2163.4 - Music 1 - On
Call 2 - 2463.0 / 707.3 - Standard - On
Call 3 - 1319.7 / 2163.4 - Music 8 - On
Call 4 - 928.4 / 2163.4 - Music 5 - OFF
sw-a is set to Wide band - Selective Call F1 - Tone - Enable on/off duty not checked
sw-b is set to Wide band - Selective Call F1 - vibrator - Enable on/off duty IS checked.
If I set off 2463.0 / 707.3 the pager will trip on either sw-a or sw-b.
If I set off 928.4 / 2163.4 the pager will trip on either sw-a or sw-b.
Did I test this wrong? Not really sure what I'm doing but thought that should have worked.

version
I'm running version 1.1.1 on firmware 2.80.
I must admit, I was not pushing the keys programming the one I have. I was in the shop watching someone else doing it so I'm going on memory here. From what I recall, if the tone is set for OFF DUTY and the function knob selection is set for enabled, that tone should not alert in that mode.
From what you described, Call 4 should not be alerting in Mode B. I'm at a loss.

Any one else
Has anyone gotten this to work successfully?
Yes, thats what I mean. I use it in this manner. I can't explain why yours isn't doing it if you're using the 1.1.1 software.

update
Just wanted to post that I upgraded the firmware to version 3 (thanks tvsjr for the notice) and used the new software (version 1.2.2).
I then reprogrammed the on and off duty options and it's now working.
Just thought I'd post the current result.
Thanks.
