I've been trying to get my Saber II R (H44QXJ7139CN) to have single tone feature enabled.
On this Saber there are two small buttons in parallel and vertically aligned from beneath PTT button. It has three-button display with 5 chips on front board, 120 channels with 10 zones and scanning ablilities, with bandsplit 403-433MHz (well, actually 434.000 to be exact).
On RSS 07.01.00 there is an option "H852 6D Master Option" that extends more features like single tone, but it seems that utilizing this is not possible due to fact that this radio has CORE 5D on it.
Well, one must wonder, what purpose do RAT-buttons have then, if those can not be used with this hardware version?
Is there any way to upgrade this piece of work then? Most repeaters here do require 1750Hz tone burst to open. Right now it seems that there's no way at all, except replacing front board to saber III front. Right?

RAT buttons...
RAT buttons have no function on a Saber that has a 5D core. Your Saber must
have a 6D or 8D core for the RAT buttons to work. Early Saber cases had no
RAT buttons on them but eventually the RAT buttons became standard even on
the 5D core radios.
