M1225 only showing half display

Have an M1225 VHF and a week or so ago, the bottom half of the display went away. When you turn it on, its there, but just turned on, the bottom half doesnt work. Any ideas?

Does it show up @ all or??? Your description is a little confusing...

The displays in these things like to go bad...alot.

When you turn it on.... the entire display shows correctly. But after it goes thru the entire display lighting up, half of it goes away, so that only the top half is showing. Its like nothing is there on the bottom half.

Sounds like a loose ribbon cable inside- have you had it apart @ all?

Classic example of a dead display- does one thing on powerup, then changes.
