Bansplit questions

In the minitor 4 spec sheet it lists two models. 406-430 and 450-512. Now down the page a little bit it shows this

406-430MHz:8MHz
450-464MHz:8MHz
470-512MHz:6MHz

So does this mean that the 450-512 pager can do bolth the 450-464 ranges and 470-512 range?

Now say i get a 450-464 pager, does the 8mhz mean that there can only be an 8mhz split between f1 and f2?

Also what differences exist between the 450-464 pager and 470-512 pager, is it just the codeplug, and if so can it be changed.

Minitor Vs are available in the following bandsplits. One pager will cover one and only one of the bandsplits listed below.

Lowband:
33.00 - 36.995
37.00 - 40.995
41.00 - 44.995
45.00 - 49.00

VHF:
143.000 - 150.9975
151.000 - 158.9975
159.000 - 166.9975
167.000 - 174.9975

UHF:
406.0000 - 413.9975
414.0000 - 421.9975
422.0000 - 430.0000
450.0000 - 457.9975
453.0000 - 461.9975
462.0000 - 469.9975
470.0000 - 477.9975
478.0000 - 485.9975
486.0000 - 493.9975
494.0000 - 503.9975
504.0000 - 512.0000

I've typed this list out before. Perhaps one of the mods could make it a sticky?

Ok but my question is what is the difference in the two pagers that make all the bandsplits, if motorola only makes 2 models of pagers.

Different filters in the front end, different tuning, etc. The model number indicates the band, but there is an order option that selects one of the bandsplits listed above.

Both F1 and F2 must fall within ONE and ONLY ONE of the bandsplits listed above. There is no converting to a different bandsplit once the pager has been ordered from Motorola without parts and internal modification.
