Motorola MT500 Freq. Change

Post by Dispatcher85 »

Is anyone able to do an inband freq. change for an MT500? Currently has 4 Channels programmed and all 4 need to be refreq'ed. Please let me know.

It probably is not worth the cost. Last time I worked on one, MT500 channel elements were $45 each (rebuilt not new!) so that is $90 per channel just for the parts plus the cost of retuning. Cheaper to buy a new radio.

it would consider shopping around, or perhaps posting a wanted add. these things considered"bricks" are still in use in some poor area fire departments. unfortunatly its the way it is today. re post with the freqs your looking for. and someone may be able to help you out. i still have a few working mt-500's laying around. and there are people here that have the same as well.

hope this helps.
