Saber RSM cord differences

Saber RSM cord differences

I have an NMN6128C that recently took a crap. The cord on this particular one started as a coil right out of the strain relief on the mic head, whereas others I've seen have a short length of straight cord before the coil starts. These two variations seem to share the NMN6128C designation. Any reason for the two different styles?
What explosion?
