From: Portable Subscriber Product Group
Subject: HT750, PR860, HT1250, HT1250LS, HT1250LS+ : Firmware Release R05.09.13
Symptoms:
All models of HT750, HT1250, HT1250LS and HT1250LS+ radios programmed with firmware versions R05.09.00 through
R05.09.11 will exhibit the following two problems.
Item #1: Radio continuously transmits
If the radio is turned on while it is in the charger, then removed from the charger and PTT is pressed while set for
a personality with MDC on transmit, the radio will continue to transmit after PTT is released. This problem has
been corrected with firmware version R05.09.13.
Note that the charger user guide instructs the user to turn off the radio while it is in the charger.
Item #2: Failure to decode Quik Call II selective call
If the radio is turned on while it is in the charger then removed from the charger, it will not decode Quik Call II
calls. This problem has been corrected with firmware version R05.09.13.
Note that the charger user guide instructs the user to turn off the radio while it is in the charger.
All models of PR860 radios programmed with firmware versions R05.09.11 or older will exhibit the following problem.
Item #3: PR860 DPL decoding
The PR860 will mute the receive audio when the DPL deviation exceeds 450 Hz. This happens only in
narrowband (12.5 kHz) receive mode. This problem has been corrected with this firmware version.
Cause:
A defect in the radios firmware is causing these problems.
Corrective Action:
Updating the radio’s firmware to version R05.09.13 or newer will correct this problems.
