Motorola Minitor V issues

Post by sgfdlt1819 »

My department just put 20 minitor V's in service. We are having some of the same problems listed here on this board. My chief is ready to send everything back my question is will Motorola or the dealer take them back we have had them 2 months.

You should be asking them, not us, as we can only guess. If you're extremely lucky & have a good relationship with your dealer, and they are financially able to do it, they might take them back. The problem is if Motorola doesn't agree to take them back from the dealer, then they're out a lot of money. So, it in turn depends on their relationship with Motorola.

The dealer may be obligated to process the units through the Motorola warranty program, but they are certainly not obligated to take them back lock, stock & barrel...unless they agreed to in writing beforehand.

You will likely find that Motorola will insist on having all the pagers uplifted to the latest/greatest firmware & CPS versions, along with any applicable SRN (service repair notice) work done on them before they'll even consider doing anything else for you.
