Wondering....
How do radios incorporate into a Nextel system?
Will the reband screw that up?
What are the pros/cons of using an old MTX810 on Nextel, vs
their own phone device??
How's it work without a keypad, phone or just repeater type use?
Can you tell there's no 800 systems within miles of me? LOL.
thanks!
Anyone have the time to run down Nextel and 800 radios..?

Uh...
You can't use an MTX810 or any other Privacy Plus/Smartnet/Smartzone radio on Nextel's iDEN netowrk, period. What you may be thinking of are Nextel-owned Privacy Plus SMR systems, in which case that's between you and the shop that puts radios on their system.
If there are any 800 PP SMR systems still up in your area (there haven't been any in Houston for years), rebanding will probably kill them off.

- What radios do you own?: AM/FM
....and Gretsky chokes in the open net...
Heh, 50bux says he was in the hospital 2 days prior and they sent him home in the middle of his concurrent heparin/warfarin changeover, and he was still taking his daily ASA as directed on top of that.... posterior vessel pops and oozes forever... can't do iodoform on the posterior either, ya gotta do a balloon cath for a couple days. He must've been puking clots and coffee-grounds too... sounds like a blast!
Oh,
And there was this MTX810 radio, and it turned out to be worthless... and it gave me a nose-bleed.
Motorola radio, that is. MTX... for content, you see.
