Model #
Look on the label it should have another number something Like T84xxxx.
It may say ID number. That should help you use the look at the model decoding page here on this site.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
that is a 45 watt 800mhz trunking radio and you are missing a letter in that model number somewhere.

Spectra remote head question
That is the right number.Canyou tell me what i am doing wrong.I took the remote mount cover off and put a full key pad spectra head on with a innerconnect board and when i try to readit ,it says*Error number 79 has occrred cannot acess the S9000e control head.
Re: Spectra remote head question
You have the wrong head on it. You are using an A7 head, and the radio is set up for an A9.Max wrote:That is the right number.Canyou tell me what i am doing wrong.I took the remote mount cover off and put a full key pad spectra head on with a innerconnect board and when i try to readit ,it says*Error number 79 has occrred cannot acess the S9000e control head.

Spectra remote head question
I can not read the radio using a A7 head ,when i try to read the radio ,i get *error number 79 has occured can not access the S9000 control head*
and even to bit bang ,i still can not get into the radio using a A7 head.I guess i will have to get a A9 head and remote cable just to read the radio and then change it to Advance head ??

You have to have a System 9000 head on the radio to read it, period. Once you do, you can go into F2 - Radio Wide Options and change the control head type. Or, as Josh pointed out, if you have a 45w 800 C5 or C7 codeplug, you can clone that into it. If you go that route, be sure to go into Service mode and write down all of your alignment settings so you can plug them back in.
