CDM AND HT QUICK CALL

Post by cfdeng3 »

Is it possible to have the CDM and HT1250 send off an alert tone when a Quick Call II paging tone is activated? I have my tones entered under "Quick Call II Call" Now how do i make it work on Channels...DO I have to select under RX signalling which quick call i want to use?? Also if I do that will I lose MDC decode ID's??

Yes....by default the radio will generate an alert tone upon a successful QCII decode. You can set the volume level in the 'radio wide' screens to either follow the volume control, or remain at a set level.

Yes....you can only have one signalling system in effect for a single personality. Enabling QCII will disable MDC for that personality.

Well, hang on a second... I believe you can choose both the TX and RX signalling system for each personality. If you want to RX QCII, AND have MDC PTT ID on your TX, you would choose that respectively for the TX & RX signalling systems.

The key to remember, is that you can only use one signalling system in TX and one in RX for each personality, and they don't have to be the same!

He was asking about MDC decode in his post, as opposed to encode. My wording was perhaps misleading, you are correct that you can have different TX & RX signalling systems in the same personality.

HT1250 Paging Problem

Post by danfurseth »

Recently updated my firmware on my 2 HT1250 radios and a HT1550. I have them all set up to send and recieve QC pages. Before the update, they all received the pages fine. Now, my HT1250s have a serious delay when getting a page and infact will not recieve pages from our comm center for fire pages. Best way to describe is this:

I take one radio to send out the page to another radio AND a fire pager. The pager goes off immediately and when to short tone beeps from the transmitting radio that the tones (A/B) are done and that you can start your voice message. At this point is where the portables go off with the tones! The radios never did this before and I am missing pages.

The HT1550 works fine and the pages come in without a delay.

I have compared the codeplugs from all radios and they are all the same.

Any help would be great.
