What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT

error message...

The Saber programming manual says that an 0C1 error message
indicates "The CORE uP (microprocessor) has an internal EEPROM checksum
error."

The book suggests reprogramming and if this doesn't eliminate the error
the CORE microprocessor must be replaced.

Hello Kraven60,

I had exactly same problem as well when I started to reprogram my Saber IIR.

Which kind of serial cable do you use between computer's serial port and RIB? A common D9-D25 serial cable from some market?

In my case, problem was on the serial cable, since it was NOT fully connected, ie. all wires were not used at all! Problen was solved by building new cable with same wiring as it is shown on Batlabs site.

You might have had found this solution by searching this Batboard forum with some key words such as Saber Programming :)

There's also some other things for you to check if there's still problems. Please look them up before posting, since those problems have been discussed before dozens of times...

I'm sorry if above seems harsh. That's not what I intended at all. Writing English with less that adequate vocabulary might sometimes result almost offensive responses even when that was not intended.
