conventional spectra mdc decode

i have a vhf and uhf spectra that does mdc encode but is there anything in the rss that needs to be enabled to get the radio to do decode i know the old syntor x9000 would decode mdc so i assume the spectra will right

A regular analog spectra will not decode mdc and where did you see an x9000 that would? I should add is this referring to PTT id display?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

spectra's can't decode mdc, neither can the x9000. the astro spectra might be able to. you need an mcs2000 or mcs1250/1550 to decode mdc.

No analog spectra or any x9000 that I am aware of ever decoded PTT id mdc transmissions.

Hi I have work with spectra's with A9 control head, an wean it receives a call alert it displays the senders id when you press the call button.
