msf5000 to MC1000

Post by ffcato »

Can a Motorola MSF5000 Repeater be hooked up to a MC1000 Desktop Remote?

I am working on geting us a repeater to replace our old base unit radio. We have a direct phone line used from the fire station to the tower that runs to the unit. Just trying to find out if the MSF5000 will do the same thing.

Remote control was an option for the MSF5000 stations although most were sold with remote control.

CLB stations could be equipped with either a DC remote control board or a tone remote control board. CXB stations when equipped with the remote option [TTRC board] could be programmed for either DC or tone control although there were some problems with DC control on early CXB stations.

You would need to verify the presence of the remote control option and programming of the specific MSF you intend to acquire.
