Plectron Tone Chart

Post by Param-A-Dic »

so i have searched high and low and can't find this info....
we have a comtegra console at work we use to control both a base radio and our tower transmitter. in the paging menu you can select what sort of signalling you want to encode (2 tone, 5 tone, plectron ect...). for 2 tone it allows for 3 digit numerical input. makes sence, its a 3 digit motorola capcode. for plectron it requires 4 digits. i cannot find anywere any sort of plectron tone plan chart or anything from which i can figure the required 4 digits for it to produce the tones i want.
anybody have any ideas and/or information on this? is there such a thing as a plectron capcode? if so, how do you convert an A tone and B tone into that 4 digit number?

plectron codes are not normally in cap codes but for any GAI-Tronics products you need to use a cap code to use the tones in the console.

the comtegra and the command plus have the ability for 250 alias's.
either a combo of MDC, Paging, DTMF.

try this link: http://www.gaitronics.com/products/manu ... 4-013d.pdf

scroll down to page #49-50(document page numbers) it explains the cap codes for the comtegra. the manual is for the command plus/icp 9000 but the cap codes are the same for the comtegra.

to use it:

look up the frequencies you want to use.

look up what code group they are in EX: P2, P2

look up what group the 3rd and 4th digits are in.

match it up to the chart.

example:

1082hZ 1180 HZ

1082 is in group P2 3rd digit is 2
1180 is in group P2 4th digit is 4

if you go to the chart above:

grouping with P2&P2 the first 2 digits of the cap code is 01

so for 1082/1180 = the cap code in the comtegra is 0124!

if you are having trouble using this chart PM me with your tones and sequences and i will decode them and send them to you.
