Post by dfc2 »

I tried the GOV hack on a JT1000, But before I can even get there, I read the radio and then try and re program the radio with the same codeplug that was read it givems me errors about the wrong Model number ( it is what's listed and it is what rss gives me as options. I then get errors saying the codeplug and the radio are different software versions? any ideas?

What radios do you own?: The best that low bid can buy.

Verify on the RSS splash screen that it is capable of programming a JT1000 radio. Older versions of HT1000/VISAR RSS can not & will not program a JT. (found that out the hard way)

Good luck on your quest.

Is there a version that you know will program the JT1000?

I don't have a program key, so I was planning on trying the GOV hack.

GOVT JT1000

Post by JustinMoon205 »

If you have access to a GOVT model JT and a JEDI clone cable simply clone the GOVT model to the FCC model and you'll turn the FCC model into a GOVT model and will not have to have the key. That is the most simple way I've seen to do it.
