XTS3000 boards swapping question

Post by sq5ag »

Hello!

I have two XTS3000 radios:

1) UHF, model III, basic flashcode, VSELP

2) 800Mhz, model III, flashed for IMBE + SmartZone (100008-000000-1).

I would like to put IMBE and SmartZone support in the first radio (the UHF one) by swapping boards between these two radios.

So, my questions are: Is it possible? If so, what is the best way to accomplish that?

Also, could you please tell me how to identify the boards? I'm familiar with Jedi series, but I haven't yet played with the guts of a XTS3000.

Thanks!

What radios do you own?: FPP 6 meter XTL 5K's

I don't think I would ruin a good 800 radio. Sell the 800 and buy the upgrade for the UHF. That is if you have no real use for the 800 radio.
