Saber III Gov split to 460

Post by High_order1 »

Hi!

After searching, I've found a couple of threads that sorta answer this question, but not well enough for me to risk bricking a radio.

If I buy a Saber III with the 403 split, can I buy a Saber I with the 460 split, and then swap the appropriate module out?

If this is right, what is the NMN or whatever of the module I need?

I assume that after that, an aligning and new codeplug would have to be written, right?

Thanks again, you guys are great!

Never mind, apparently, I didn't search well enough.....

The 5W PA is 5105144J27.
The FDS that is in there is good to 470 MHz.
The other module to change is the Rcvr filter/amp/mixer. P/N is NLE9432A.
The module number you need to move the radio fromlow split UHF to mid split UHF is this:

NLE9462B

You will have to swap two other modules in order for the radio to perform properly though, and these are the PA module and the filter/detector/switch.
Sorry..... :(
