What's a reasonable cost to connect an existing MTR2000 to an existing Zetron Series 4000 console system? Including a new T/R interface card for the console's CCU and programming but assuming the radio equipment already in place and, at most, some punches on existing punchdown blocks located next to the existing radio and existing console system.
Just trying to see if the cost I was quoted seems reasonable.

It depends on a few variables, like whether we as a company were familiar with the location(s) of the equipment in question & whether or not it was something we had done before, but best case scenario I wouldn't quote any less than 1/2 day...and more likely a full day if it's more than 1/2hr away from the shop. So, whatever your shops "onsite" labour rate is X 8hrs.

$3500.
Supposedly, the repeater was already prepped for this at its original install. Its always been in the plans; just was not ready to be used when the repeater went on the air. All that is needed is for it to be plugged into the CCU and consoles programmed to access the new channel. I've heard mixed info as to there being spare T/R interfaces already (from old radios no longer connected to the console) or not.
