cps for xts question

Post by beaujo_fire »

I am programming an xts type radio and can not find where or how in the cps to name the zones that I am programming in the radio. Can anyone tell me how to do that. Its always been easy in other cps for my ht1250 and other radio. But can't seem to find it in this version

Thanks

The channel length has probably been set to the maximum...12 characters I believe for the XTS3000 (I assume that's the model you're working with). If you want to have zone names, you must set the channel characters to something less than max..."9" for instance, if you want 3 character zone names. It in the display features.

You put the channel names in the zone assignments, not under the channel personality like the PRO series.

Thanks guys. I figured out what you were both refering to and I now see how it works. I saw that in the beginning, it was not highlighted so it would not allow me to change it. And now I see why.

Thanks again

Keep in mind that you will not have a delimiter or anything between the zone name and the channel name, so plan accordingly.
