ASTRO Spectra DSP/Firmware stuff

Going into test mode, my radio displays:

R08.01.02 and
I06.03.01

that being said, I'm curious as to the age of this firmware, what the 'I' stands for and also what this radio is either capable or incapable of... ie Astro25 trunking, et. al.

I know it does digital and 1 meg vocon, serial number dates this unit back to 1996 though.

Any info would be great.

Fairly old... this would be the second major release of firmware and DSP for IMBE support. Early 2000s, probably.

As far the the options supported, that would be in the flashcode. Astro25 trunking is only supported in very limited firmware/DSP combinations.
