Maxtrac fuse size?

Post by ku4zs1 »

Searched but found nothing about fuse size recommendation.

Have a 40 watt UHF maxtrac that I will be installing this weekend. What size fuse do you recommend on the power line? I was thinking 15 amp fast blow, that sound reasonable? I'm not sure what the power draw on this unit is.

The factory cable for the 40-watt unit comes with a 20-amp vehicular style blade fuse, if that helps. The 25-watt units come with a 15-amp.
