Problems with XTS3000 in ASTRO mode

Post by sq5ag »

Hi!

I have an old, VSELP-flashed UHF XTS3000 in the UHF "S" split.
Here are some basic info about it:

DSP: N05.01.04
HOST: R03.33.00
Flashcode:000001-000000-9

The problem is that it doesn't want to talk in ASTRO mode to my 3 other VSELP radios (same split "S", and these 3 radios talk to each other without any problem in digital mode).

However, when I key the XTS3000 in ASTRO mode, the LED on the other radios blinks just one or two times, the speaker makes an opening noise for about half a second, and then the squelch closes and the receiving LED goes off also.
When I key the other "good" radios, the XTS3000 will act in a similar manner: the receiving LED blinks just one or two times, and that's all. And of course no audio at all.

I triple-checked the settings in the RSS and all the radios have the correct talkgroups programmed, so there should be no problems with that.
When listened to on an analog receiver, the XTS3000 does actually emit a data stream.

Any suggestions? Alignment problem or a faulty DSP/Vocon?

Thanks!

Options Installed on this Flashcode:

000001-000000-9

H35/G48 Conventional Operation

Do the others have the same flash as this one?
