Spectra Issue

Post by markf1850 »

I have a 50W Front mount Spectra that I want to use as a base staion. I have connected at 10A DC Motorola PS to it to check to see if it powers up.
It does not. Any thoughts???

Hi,

Did you supply the "ignition" 12V to the rear DB-15 connector? Check Batlabs for the pinout.

I was just going to suggest that but he beat me to it!

And of course check all fuses, etc. Sometimes the main power connector gets corroded after being in a vehicle for a while, a wire brush for the pins and a shot of contact cleaner if you got some helps with that.
