Spectra Question

What does the H/L switch accomplish in the Spectra . Thanks

It stands for Horn/Light. When pressed, it alternately enables or disables the horn and light outputs at the accessory jack. These can be programmed to flash when you get an incoming message directed at your radio. Usually associated with DTMF or MDC signalling, but it can also respond to trunking talk requests.

If you have no horn or light relays attached, then the button has no useful effect and you could reassign it to be something like RSSI, if the firmware in your radio allows it.
