Motorola Advisor Pager

Post by sourapple613 »

Which of the Advisor Series Pagers will be able to be changed using a computer and NOT crystals??

Advisor Golds?
Advisor IIs?
Advisor Elites?
Advisor Pro?

If they are able to be changed I assume you cant go from a pager in the 400's to using it in the 900's?

Is there a serial number decoder to see which model it actually is and if its able to be programmed by computer?? Thanks!

Changed in terms of frequency or cap code? All of the above are computer-programmed... only the Advisor Elites and Advisor IIs are synthesized. No, no moving from 400 to 900... in fact, there are mutliple bandsplits both both VHF and UHF.

...and you have to do a real good job retuning the synthesized ones from what I understand...

I've never had that problem... most are quite sensitive without so much as a test.
