Hi guys
I just bought 5 units Motorola spectra consolettes, they are ex-military surplus, with the idea of using them for my ham work. knowing nothing about their programing issues. i hoped they are VHF and i wanted to use them for echolink. breaking the model number tell me they are UHF and programmable, but to what ? i have no idea. Model#L99DX+248L. ID#L04RKH9PW7AN. the consolette comes with built in power supply and faceplate and 2 accessory ports on the backside.
Any info about their usefulness for ham work is wellcomed. otherwise they go on e-bay !

It will cover 403-470mhz., so it will cover the 440-450 UHF ham band. The hard part is getting all the programming items needed. If you search the board, you can find out about all the hardware you will need, but software has to be purchased directly from Motorola.
If you decide to part with them, offer them here first before some idiot on ebay hacks them into oblivion. I am sure you will have many interests in them on here.

I think i'll sell them on the buy/sell board. Have to figure out their prices now !
PS. I am in Bahrain (outside US), so shipment would be a problem i guess for such heavy item.
