I have a Motorola Astro radio that I just paid to have the Flash upgrade for IMBE/Apco-25. It was sent back to Motorola and they upgraded the rado and put a new board in it making it 1MEG. When I try and program the radio, I get an error messag saying that the radio does not support 2.5 channel spacing, you need up upgrade the firmware.
I just paid to have that done. Any idea how I can get past it? I'm not paying another $400.00 for a flash upgrade.
Thank you in advance.
2.5 channel spacing programming astro

VHF Astro Spectra, I assume? If you're trying to program a splinter channel (say 154.3625), you need new firmware AND a new RF deck that has the appropriate ultra-high-stability oscillator to handle 2.5KHz.
Bad news? Unless you can find one somewhere (fairly difficult), a new RF board will run you over $600, plus installation and realignment.

Re: 2.5 channel spacing programming astro
One note: When Moto flash upgrades a radio, you MUST use the current version of CPS to program it. You may want to check this first and may be a simple fix.
