Quantar Accessory Help NEEDED!!

Post by Vercomm »

Help Anybody!!

I am trying to connect an M1225 to the 50 pin accessory on the back of a VHF conventional quantar. I need some help. I do have a manual for both the quantar and quantar RSS. I'm confused on setting for the wild card and such. I am hoping that the quantar has identical pins for the following on the M1225.

Pin 2 - Mic Audio
Pin 3 - PTT
Pin 7 - Gnd
Pin 8 - COS
Pin 11 - Rx disc.

If anyone can help that would be appreciated. I can also send the code plug to you via email if you can make changes to the wild card settings if needed.

[email protected]

Thanks to anyone who can help,

Jamie

Look for the "System Applications" tab in the Quantar service manual.

In that section you will find complete instructions for interfacing the Quantar to a variety of external devices including which pins to connect to for receiver and transmitter audio, COR & PTT.

The wild card programming does not need to be changed from default unless you need something more than COR & PTT.
