XTS 5K button

Post by radio_rob_nj »

OK, this is probably going to be a retarded question, but what is the button that looks like a laptop computer used for on the XTS 5K mod 3? One would assume it has something to do with data, but I don't know. Anyway, thanks.

It is reserved for future use. One surmises that it will be used someday (maybe) to invoke a data function, most likely only in P25 mode.

I can FPP the serial # with my extra button, I had to program the radio with special overseas software, it works great, other than I don't recognize the language that is displayed.

You're travelling to another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound...
but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land, whose boundaries are only that of the imagination...
you're entering...the Batlab Zone...

Sorry if this is out of line but I just couldn't resist. Besides it's friday!!!

Negative. That should read "Cowthief Zone".
