Zetron 640DAPT and Spectrum SCT 1500 Transmitter connections

Post by LMTtech »

Can anyone out there demystify the proper pinouts from the DAPT to the Spectrum transmitter for me?
I'm trying to set the equipment for up a bunch of Alpha-numric POCSAG pagers in a hospital type scenario.
Thanks,

I know nothing of the Spectrum, so I can't help you on that end. However, I can give you the DAPT pinouts for a 'generic' installation. These are the pin numbers on the 25-pair connector:

Aux PTT N.O. - 23

Dig Data - 42

Dig Mode - 14

TX Audio HI - 15

TX Audio LO - 40

AUX PTT COM - 24

Ground - 25

Pins 24, 25 & 40 are usually jumpered together & connected to the radio ground.

If you give Zetron a call, they're generally very helpful & may have the Spectrum hook-up on file. Good luck,

Todd

The generic pinout worked out fine. I managed to tie it all together and everything looks good. Should anyone else have problems configuring Spectrum radios, drop me a line.
