Hi Group
Can anyone tell me how to get COS/COR out of an HT600.
Thanks Freddy

There is a Carrier Detect signal (+5V with carrier, 0V with no signal) that comes out of the IF board, but it goes only to the microprocessor on the controller flex, and I don't know how you'd get to it from that point.
For what it's worth, J6 pin 9 on the controller flex has this signal on it.

You can get the carrier detect signal to the outside world, i built a small portable repeater out of two HT600's once. The problem is that you can't put any load on that line to the controller, it goes to +5v with a signal.
I used a simple circuit to take the high going signal and switch the PTT of the other radio. I'll see if i can find my notes on it, i think i just used a 2N3904 and a pull up resistor to B+ to switch another 2N3904 on the opposite radio to pull it's PTT to ground.
It was a finicky setup though, if the voltage on the carrier detect line dropped more than .3v then the controller wouldn't always unmute the receiver.

Duct tape is like the force, it has a dark side and a light side and it holds the universe together.
