I have new Multiplier 1100mah Nicad batteries for my Sabers. Using the ntn4734a Fast charger.
I've never used any sort of quick charger, so how long should these be charged for? I know this charger has the ability to kill batteries if left on too long.
Thanks, this board has lots of great members.

The 4734 is a sophisticated, high-tech charger and it will not
"kill" batteries if you leave them in the unit. The only thing
you will encounter with your setup is that the charger will only run the NiMH battery up to about 90% of its full capacity on a charge,
but if you cool the battery down and run it again the capacity will
go a little higher. I've used 4734s with NiMH batteries for more than five years with no problems, ever.

I've seen a few comments about leaving batteries in it for too long, that's where the "kill" comment came from.
These are nicads, not NiMH. I wanted to try a NiMH, I havve access to a nicad conditioner. That, along with the much reduced cost, plus i like to havs a spare battery, led me to stick to nicads.
I'm just excited to actually be able to use the Sabers I have now. It seems the batteries are the last thing I waited to but
